PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Beginning in the 2022/2023 season NW Elite FC will introduce a year round Pre-ECNL program for U11 and U12 players. The goal of this program is to develop and prepare players, from the Portland area, for the ECNL and Elite competition. The U11-U12 Pre-ECNL teams will bring together competitive, dedicated and enthusiastic soccer players, while also helping to develop relationships and connections between all players.

Our Pre ECNL program is an opportunity for top level soccer players who have a desire to play at the highest level offered in the country to come together to pursue excellence on and off the field. The program inherently has a great training environment where players excel under high level coaching. This program is the foundation to prepare NW Elite FC players who want to compete in the ECNL and ECNL RL starting at U13 (ECNL) and U15 (ECNL RL). The ECNL is, without question, the highest level of competitive soccer for players in the United States and we are currently the Top Ranked Program in Oregon. The program is geared toward players who want the platform of ELITE coaching, top level competition and have the ambition to play in college and beyond.

We have a big focus on players being able to learn ball mastery through the game model through the training environment and playing style. At this age group, the players can become really comfortable on and off the ball because the emphasis is on execution of those in decision making moments under opposition pressure, when time and space is limited We then can apply those learned behaviors and skill sets into real game situations, which help players problem solve and become good decision makers. The players get to play in multiple positions, allowing them to experience the whole game at a young age and improve their tactical understanding of different roles and responsibilities. Our curriculum has a strong emphasis on developing the attacking side of the game and being dominant in possession. We are really excited at launching the girls Pre-ECNL and we look forward to the 2022-23 season as we continue to push our players towards the highest levels of the game.
