Alec grew up playing competitive soccer for LOSC/Crossfire. At Lakeridge High School, he was a 4-year varsity player. He was recruited to play for San Diego State University, but, unfortunately, injuries prohibited him from doing so. However, that is what led Alec to becoming a soccer coach – something that he enjoys even more than playing! He finds great joy in coaching and working with young kids and developing soccer players. Alec began coaching as a Junior in high school, where he helped coach and direct a program for children with Down Syndrome called “Challengers.” After high school, in 2012/2013, he began coaching for Southside Soccer Club – now Albion Portland. He was the Girls Competitive Coordinator and their Player Development Program Director before becoming a part of the coaching staff at THUSC, now NW ELITE FC in 2019.
As a parent and a business professional, Kevin has experienced the ins and outs of youth sports and the youth sports ecosystem. With those life and professional experiences, Kevin joined the NW ELITE FC board to make a difference and create an experience our children will enjoy and develop as soccer players and as people.
Kevin has raised four lovely young women, and has experienced the youth sports culture in all its glory personally via his kids and his own experiences as a youth. He understands the value of "clubs" and the impact they have on youth. Kevin is excited that he can give something back to NW ELITE FC in the sincere hope that the experience produced from playing soccer will forever be a positive one for every individual who participates in the process. Player, Parent, and Family alike.

Simply put, soccer is a gift. Whether aware of it or not, in daily life players utilize something they learn from the game every day. The realizable potential for players to grow through the game is what sparked Kathryn’s passion to give back to the game through club committees, fundraising work, support of High School soccer in the school systems, and ultimately Board leadership over eleven years ago. Kathryn served in the role of President of NW Elite FC from May 2019 through October 2023. Kathryn’s experience leading change management campaigns in eight merger and acquisition transactions has been a nice complement to the professional backgrounds of our Board of Directors. Kathryn lead the club’s brand consolidation and rebrand efforts which occurred in 2021.
